Todd joined the EHS team in April 2002. As head of the Environmental Management section, he oversees two groups: Hazardous
Material Services and Environmental Compliance Services. Hazardous Material Services includes management of all excess hazardous
materials on campus including chemical, radiological and biological materials, assisting campus personnel with hazardous material
transportation issues as well as the monitoring program for helping users of hazardous materials comply with State and Federal
regulations. Environmental Compliance Services includes programs on emergency planning, above- and below-ground tank management
and to control air and water pollution.
Todd received his BS in Chemistry in 1985 from Eastern Illinois University. Since 1999, he has been a member of the American
Chemical Society, with an interest in the Chemical Health and Safety Division. From 1997 until the end of 2004, he co-authored
a column about waste minimization with Peter Ashbrook in that Division's trade publication. Since 1987, his professional work
history has been in environmental programs at institutions of higher education. In his spare time he enjoys computer
manipulation of audio and video, feeding his Stephen King fix and striving to ride every rollercoaster in the United States.
