Roy has worked at the University since 1981. He has a B.S. degree in Food Science and Nutrition. Roy is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist. For the first 20 years of that time he served as the campus sanitarian. In 2001, Roy moved into the position of Biological Safety Professional. His duties include overseeing the Occupational Safety and Health Program for Animal Care Workers, reviewing Institutional Biological Safety Committee research protocols, and maintaining safety information on infectious materials and blood borne pathogens.
