Introduction to Laboratory Safety
Introduction to Laboratory Safety is required for all people who work in laboratories where chemicals are used. The class introduces attendees to a variety of chemical and physical hazards that can be encountered in the laboratory environment. The class also addresses the use of personal protective equipment and engineering controls to prevent injury and illness. People working in laboratories where chemicals are used must also complete Chemical Management Online before working in a laboratory.
Laser Safety(Scheduled as needed — on-demand course)
This class is designed to give training on the safe use of LASERs at MU and will cover general concepts of LASER science, LASER classifications, LASER specific and non-beam hazards, biological effects, ANSI Standards, LASER accidents, LASER hazard evaluations and control methods including personal protective equipment.
