Fire Exit Drills
Every University of Missouri faculty, staff, and student will experience some kind of fire-related emergency. General lack of knowledge about fire safety and
prevention is the major cause for these fires. Preparedness, such as building fire drills, show responsibility and save lives.
If your MU group, department, or building would like to plan and participate in the yearly October university fire drills, please contact
David Dorth.

Other Misc. Special Events
In order to minimize the many safety hazards and liabilities associated with hosting special events at MU, EHS strongly encourages all departments and groups to contact us early in the planning stages of such events. Examples of some of the events we have been involved with in the past include haunted houses, fun fests with inflatable, sound systems, refreshments, etc., car bashes, State ferrier contests, exposition events on Lowry Mall and more. EHS has a guideline document for
Car Bashes.
Please contact the EHS Safety Representative at (573) 882-7018 well prior to the event. EHS will gather information and possibly conduct a site visit in an effort to make sound recommendations to minimize risks to life, property and the environment.
