Chemical Recycling ProgramEnvironmental Health & Safety operates a Chemical Recycling Program as part of the overall MU Hazardous Material Services program. The objective is to collect chemicals from those who have no use for them and redistribute them to those who need them. The links below reflect the current inventory of items available, and the last time the inventory was updated appears at the top of the inventory list. The online inventory is organized alphabetically by chemical name (ignoring all non-alphabetic prefixes). Also shown for each chemical entry is the manufacturer name, catalog number, quantity available, and a "reference" which is handy to have when you arrive at the Chemical Recycling Building. These recycled chemicals are available at no charge to MU faculty and staff enrolled in the EHS Registered User program, and they are for University use only. Chemical training must be current, and this will be verified prior to the transfer of chemicals to the RU’s inventory. Please follow these instructions for transporting items from the Chemical Recycling Building. To obtain an item or items, obtain additional information on the Chemical Recycling Program, or confirm your enrollment status, contact Environmental Health & Safety at or call us at (573) 882-3736. Individuals interested in getting email updates from the recycling coordinator are invited to complete the advance notification form. A map to the Chemical Recycling Building may be found at the bottom of this page Lists of Chemicals AvailableImportant Notice: You will need your PawPrint (the part of your email address before the "@") and PawPrint Password (the one used to access email and all official MU systems - not the EHS password used on some of our other systems) to access any of the recycled chemical lists below. You should only need to login once per session. If your browser asks you to accept a security certificate, you must accept it to access the lists of recycled chemicals.
