Universal WasteThe Universal Waste Rule in Missouri defines a number of hazardous materials that qualify for alternate management strategies. At MU only selected aspects of the rule are used, specifically those pertaining to non-alkaline batteries and mercury-containing lamps (e.g. fluorescent lamps). MU Faculty and StaffEHS has developed the following guidance documents for MU faculty and staff to assist them in properly managing fluorescent lamps and batteries:
