This course provides essential training on safe food handling practices. All food handlers are required to obtain a Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of employment, with annual recertification thereafter.

Food Handler Safety Quiz

Length: 20 minutes                 

After completing the in-person Food Handler Safety course, participants must complete the online Food Handler Safety Quiz (EHS761) to complete the full training requirement.

  • Hosted on HSI via the EHS Assistant Training Portal
  • If not pre-assigned, the course can be accessed under "View Catalog" in the HSI portal.
  • Disable pop-up blockers before launching the quiz

Completion Requirements:

  • Attend the in-person training session
  • Score at least 16 out of 20 on the online quiz
  • The quiz must be completed within 20 minutes

Food Protection Management Certification

This advanced course focuses on the management of sanitation practices within a food facility. A 5-year certification is issued upon successful completion.

This certification is required for any individual responsible for overseeing a food facility at any time.
