The purpose of this class is to enable the student to gain an understanding of the health effects of noise, type and benefits of controls, proper fit, usage and maintenance of hearing protection, medical monitoring requirements, work site noise levels and controls to reduce and prevent damaging levels of noise exposure.

This course is hosted by HSI and can be found in EHS Assistant Training Portal.  If the training course is not assigned to you it can also be found under "Additional Resources" in the HSI portal.  The training should take about 20 minutes to complete. The Hearing Conservation course is comprised of one module:  EHS747 Hearing Conservation Training. You must complete the module and score at a minimum 80% on the assessment or quiz to receive credit for this course.
