This class is designed to give training on the safe use of LASERs at MU and will cover general concepts of LASER science, LASER classifications, LASER specific and non-beam hazards, biological effects, ANSI Standards, LASER accidents, LASER hazard evaluations and control methods including personal protective equipment.

This course is hosted by HSI and can be found in EHS Assistant Training Portal.  If the training course is not assigned to you it can also be found under "Additional Resources" in the HSI portal.  The training should take about 1 hour to complete. The Laser Safety course is comprised of one module:  EHS180 Laser Safety Training.  You must complete the module and score at a minimum 80% on the assessment to receive credit for this course.
