The purpose of this class is to enable students to gain an understanding of lead bearing substances policy, health effects, operational sources, detection, work practices, controls and resources. All personnel that interact with existing campus building materials (demolition, renovation, maintenance, repair, etc.) need to attend this class.
This course is hosted by HSI and can be found in EHS Assistant Training Portal. If the training course is not assigned to you it can also be found under "Additional Resources" in the HSI portal. The Lead Awareness course is comprised of one module: EHS630 Lead Awareness Training. You must complete the module and score at a minimum 80% on the assessment to receive credit for this course.
