The purpose of this class is to create awareness about the purpose of lock and tag procedures and employee roles and responsibilities related to lock and tag requirements.  The class provides and overview of the hazards of uncontrolled energy sources and employer responsibilities and requirements for lock and tag.  It also briefly outlines steps to protect workers.

This course is hosted by HSI and can be found in EHS Assistant Training Portal.  If the training course is not assigned to you it can also be found under "Additional Resources" in the HSI portal.  The training should take about 20 minutes to complete. The Lock Out and Tag Out course is comprised of one module:  EHS734 Lock Out and Tag Out Training.  You must complete the module and score at a minimum 80% on the assessment to receive credit for this course.
