The purpose of this self-paced, online course is to introduce human medical Radiation Workers to the specifics of the Radiation Safety Program within Mizzou Health Care (MUHC) including CRMC. The course content includes requirements per 10 CFR 35 and best practices for using radioactive materials in locations within MUHC such as nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, and interventional radiology. This course must be taken after completing EHS 491 Radiation Safety Training at Mizzou to become a Radiation Worker at the MUHC and must be repeated annually.

EHS493 is hosted by both EHS Assistant (EHSA) as well as Cornerstone for hospital employees. However it is preferred that MUHC employees access the training through Cornerstone with a required annual completion date of April 30. Log into Cornerstone, and search for the course "WBT 183 Medical Radiation Safety for Radioactive Materials". You must achieve a score of 80% or greater on your quiz to consider this course complete. Once you take the course in Cornerstone, it will automatically be added to your required curriculum.
