The purpose of this class is to provide function-specific training to individuals performing regulated medical waste shipments. If you sign Regulated Medical Waste Manifests, or otherwise fill or prepare path waste boxes or tubs for shipment, you should complete this training.

This course is hosted by HSI and can be found in EHS Assistant Training Portal.  If the training course is not assigned to you it can also be found under "Additional Resources" in the HSI portal. The training should take about 30 minutes to complete. You should turn off pop-up blockers before clicking the link below to begin the training.

The Regulated Medical Waste Shipping Training course is comprised of one module:  EHS530 DOT Regulated Medical Waste Shipping. You must complete the module and score at a minimum 80% on the quiz to receive credit for this course.

Once a completed test is received, you will be issued a certificate of training and testing that shows you have met the regulatory training and testing requirements for the preparation of packages containing regulated medical waste for shipment.
