Acutely Hazardous Materials
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has designated certain chemical products as "acutely hazardous" for the purposes of waste management. Wastes, chemical formulations, or debris contaminated with any of these products often require special disposal practices, and improper handling can be costly.
If you have waste that contains any of the compounds listed below, please list the items in the "Components" section of the Hazardous Waste Label (HWL) and in the "Container Contents" section of the waste pickup request form. If you have any questions about properly labeling or disposing of acutely hazardous materials, please contact EHS at (573) 882-3736 or hazmat@missouri.edu.
