Medical Emergencies

If the individual is UNCONSCIOUS:

Call for an ambulance (911).
Do not move the individual unless authorized by some medical authority, or is obvious that delay in movement would be detrimental to the individual.
Call the MU Police Department, (573) 882-7201.
Notify appropriate supervisors.

If the individual is CONSCIOUS:

Call for an ambulance (911) if requested by the individual.
For emergency care, University employees may proceed to MU Health Care for treatment.
If the individual is a student and fully conscious, call Student Health Services, (573) 882-7481, and give information.
Call the MU Police Department, (573) 882-7201.
Notify appropriate supervisors.

Applicable to All Persons

If the injured party is an employee, complete form UM WC-1 (https://www.umsystem.edu/sites/default/files/media/fa/management/risk/umwc1.pdf) and send the completed form to the campus contact.
If the injured party is a student or member of the public, complete form UM-200 https://www.umsystem.edu/media/fa/management/records/UM200-1.pdf) and send the completed form to the campus contact.
