Steps to register a new user in EHSA for radiation safety
Follow these steps if:
- You are a Dosimetry Coordinator, Permitted Individual, or PI's delegate/lab manager needing to register a new user.
- A user already has a profile in EHSA but needs to be added to the Radiation Safety, Training permit because they don't have access to do it themselves.
You need to register someone that has been hired, has an employee id and pawprint, but has not started work yet.
Log into EHS Assistant (EHSA) using your Pawprint SSO.
At the bottom of the page, select Worker Registration.
Press +Add New Worker towards the top of the page.
- At minimum, complete the following fields: Employee ID #, Pawprint, First Name, Last Name, and Email (Pawprint + "@umsystem.edu").
- At the bottom under the Worker Link window, choose the following options:
- PI: Radiation Safety, Training
- Permit: R-00180 (for radioactive materials) or X-00021 (for x-ray use)
Worker Function: select depending on the employee's function. See a list of options below.
- After submitting, please allow 1-2 business days for EHS to screen and process. The employee should receive an email once registration is approved.
