Food Handler Safety (EHS760)

This course discusses the basics of food handling safety. Every food handler must obtain a Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of employment. Certification is required on an annual renewal basis. If you would like to attend this training, please contact Environmental Health & Safety.

 

Food Handlers Safety Quiz

Upon completion of a in-person food handlers safety course, students may register to take the online Food Handlers Safety Quiz (EHS760) to complete their training requirement.

This course is hosted by HSI and can be found in EHS Assistant Training Portal.  If the training course is not assigned to you it can also be found under "Additional Resources" in the HSI portal.  The quiz should take about 20 minutes to complete. You should turn off pop-up blockers before clicking the link below to begin the training. 

To complete the requirements of EHS760 Food Handlers Safety Training.  You must complete the in-person training session and score at a minimum 16 out of 20 on the online quiz to receive credit for this course. You will have 20 minutes to complete the quiz.

 

Food Protection Management Certification

In-depth course into the management of sanitation practices within a food facility. A 5-year certification is issued upon successful completion of the class. A food protection management certification is required of all persons who will be in charge of a food facility at any time.
