MSDSonline

You will need your PawPrint (the part of your email address before the "@") and PawPrint Password (the one used to access email and all official MU systems) after clicking the login link below. Firefox (and some other browsers) may require you to accept a one-time security certificate in order to access the MSDSonline service.

GENERAL USER LOGIN: MSDSonline (MU PawPrint required for access)

If you have PawPrint login issues, either use the UM System Secure Authentication Toolkit or contact the IT Help Desk at 573-882-5000.

All administrators will need to reset their password on or after December 5, 2023, due to a change behind the scenes. If you previously used a login that was generic, instead of related to your name, you will need a new login. Contact Chris Pearman at EHS for assistance.

ADMINISTRATIVE USER LOGIN: Admin Login to MSDSonline (Use this link only if EHS has provided you administrative rights to MSDSonline. DO NOT USE YOUR PAWPRINT.)

If you have problems specific to the MSDSonline system, call the main EHS number (573-882-7018) or email Chris Pearman (please include your name, phone number and the best time to reach you for troubleshooting).

What is MSDSonline?

MSDSonline is a commercial management system that eliminates the need to retain and manage paper ("hard") copies of SDSs - which was traditionally done in a three ring binder. Instead, SDSs are managed electronically, which automates the task of keeping those binders up-to-date - while retaining the concept of a binder.

In the program, assigned Administrators will place SDSs for the products their departments use in an electronic binder, known in the system as an "eBinder". General Users, if they choose their department, will have their search initially limited to the eBinder where they will only see the SDSs for the products used by their unit - however, the system also allows the user to search the millions of SDSs available from the vendor. And when a manufacturer updates an SDS with new information, the system allows MU to instantly update everyone's eBinder at once - so users are getting the most up-to-date information available.

Users: How to Access the System

MSDSonline is being sponsored by Environmental Health & Safety (EHS). In conjunction with unit administrators, EHS has set up a system that provides eBinders for various units. You may access the system from the link at the top of this page, which will open a new page. You may refer back to this page for assistance in using the system.
